Can Ayurveda Treatment Cure Gas And Acidity?

In Ayurveda, acidity or Amla Pitta is a disorder caused by an imbalance of Pitta Dosha, which is the cause of the digestive fire and imbalance of enzymes inside our stomach. People suffering from Pitta problems suffer from hyperacidity, peptic ulcers, and heartburn. The Pitta dosha can bring on a bout of acidity which is aggravated by stress, anger, and hot and spicy foods. While Pitta is blamed for acidity, the Kapha dosha, on the other hand, has a seat in the stomach and the chest. Kapha controls the digestive juices.

Kaphic acid reflux can make you feel sluggish, and you can feel a bitter taste in your mouth or chest congestion in the morning. The condition where the acid levels of the gastric juices are more than usual is hyperacidity and causes discomfort along with loss of appetite, heartburn, and unexpected stomach pain.

What Is The Ayurvedic Treatment For Acidity?

According to Ayurveda, improper digestion of food and production of ama or toxins in the digestive channels causes Hyperacidity. Acidity treatment in Ayurveda starts with pacifying the Pitta Dosha. Cleansing herbs are given to eliminate toxins from the body and cleanse the channels, leading to better digestion.
